Brand clarity for hospitality.

A useful brand for hospitality begins with a specific audience and a clear business purpose. Before commissioning more design, check whether a visitor can explain what the business offers, who it is for and what a sensible next step would be.

01 / Checkpoint

Name the audience before writing the promise.

Boutique hotels and wedding properties do not begin with the same brief. Place, atmosphere, room clarity and direct booking handoffs. Start with the particular business situation instead of an industry-wide slogan.

02 / Checkpoint

Separate verified facts from aspirations.

Write down which claims are supported, who owns the evidence and who can approve publication. A planned capability is not a completed project; an internal example is not a client success story.

03 / Checkpoint

Make the same story work at key touchpoints.

Review the website, room and experience naming system and the material used by the team handling enquiries. Different formats can have different detail while retaining the same meaning.

04 / Checkpoint

Inspect the handover, not just the presentation.

Request final agreed formats, a usage guide, access ownership and the source of third-party assets. Specify editable templates and revision limits before the engagement starts.

05 / Checkpoint

Keep what already works.

A review does not always lead to a rebrand. Correcting inaccurate information, improving a page or clarifying one offer can be a more proportionate starting scope.

Room inventory, rates, availability and bookings remain in the client booking system. Media spend, travel, property shoots and booking commissions are not included.

A checklist for your next brief.

  • Property positioning and tone of voice
  • Hospitality visual identity
  • Room and experience naming system
  • Guest collateral and pre-arrival templates
  • Brand photography art direction
  • Consistent property presentation
